Microsoft has announced the appointment of Rodrigo Kede Lima as the new President for Microsoft Asia, effective immediately. He succeeds Ahmed Mazhari, who has served in the role for five years. This leadership change is part of Microsoft’s strategy to drive digital transformation and AI innovation in the Asia Pacific region.
Rodrigo Kede Lima background and experience

Rodrigo Kede Lima brings over 30 years of experience in the technology sector, with a strong background in corporate finance and leadership roles at IBM and Microsoft. Prior to this appointment, he served as President for Microsoft Americas Enterprise and President for Microsoft Latin America, where he spearheaded growth and innovation across 30 offices in 22 markets.
In his new role, Rodrigo will focus on accelerating digital transformation and collaboration in the Asia Pacific region. He will lead a business that comprises 20 countries and a diverse team of 30,000 employees dedicated to unlocking Asia’s innovation advantage and fostering opportunities for sustainable economic resilience and prosperity.

Rodrigo will report directly to Judson Althoff, Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, Microsoft Corporation. He has this to say about Rodrigo’s appointment:

Transition and future plans

Rodrigo will work closely with Ahmed Mazhari to ensure a seamless transition until September 30, 2024. He will report to Judson Althoff, Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, Microsoft Corporation. Under his leadership, Microsoft aims to make a significant impact on the communities it serves and lead AI transformation in the region.
