To celebrate 25 years of Xbox, Xbox and Fanta are teaming up for a new global promotion that blends gaming, collectibles, and new in‑game rewards. Starting this April, special‑edition Fanta cans and bottles will hit shelves featuring art inspired by some of Xbox’s biggest franchises, plus a new limited-time flavor called Fanta Crimson. These designs turn everyday drinks into mini collectibles for fans of Halo, Call of Duty, World of Warcraft, Diablo IV, and Forza Horizon 6.

In the original announcement on Xbox Wire, Xbox Global Partnerships & Consumer Products GM Marcos Waltenberg describes the collaboration as a way to celebrate both Xbox’s history and the communities around these franchises. The special packaging gives each can or bottle a character takeover: think Master Chief on a Fanta bottle, Diablo IV’s dark fantasy vibe on a can, or Forza Horizon 6’s racing energy wrapped around your drink. It’s very clearly designed to appeal to collectors and fans who want to rep their favorite franchise in the fridge or on their shelf.

QR codes turn each Fanta into a mini Xbox quest

This isn’t just a packaging refresh. Starting in April, fans can scan QR codes printed on the special-edition Fanta cans and bottles to unlock Xbox‑themed interactive challenges. Once you scan, you’ll be dropped into the Fanta Rewards Chest experience, where three new mini‑games await: Extract the Cargo, Survive the Sweep, and Shatter the Spell. Complete these challenges and you can enter to win prizes like a ROG Xbox Ally handheld, an Xbox Series S – 1TB, Xbox Wireless Controllers, and a month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for new subscribers.

On top of hardware and Game Pass trials, there’s a long list of in‑game rewards tied to some of Xbox’s most recognizable franchises.

Halo players can claim the Master Chief’s Fantastic Spartan Armor in Halo: Campaign Evolved when those rewards go live at launch. World of Warcraft fans can chase the Fantastical Goblin Waveshredder Mount and other WoW bonuses, while Call of Duty players in Warzone and Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 can unlock a Tactical Orange Calling Card plus a 1‑Hour 2XP Level Token.

Diablo IV players get a Citron Whirl Town Portal cosmetic, and Forza Horizon 6 drivers can grab a 1966 Toyota Sports 800 Fanta Edition once the game launches. For anyone living in multiple ecosystems—shooter, ARPG, MMO, and racing—this is an unusually broad reward mix.

Fanta Crimson joins the lineup

Alongside the character‑themed cans and bottles, Fanta is also rolling out a new special-edition flavor called Fanta Crimson. The flavor itself isn’t deeply detailed in the announcement, but the naming and branding make it clear it’s meant to feel as bold and punchy as the Xbox collab art. Because the promotion is global, expect Fanta Crimson and the Xbox designs to appear at retailers worldwide and online while supplies last.

The combination of a new flavor and franchise‑themed packaging gives the campaign a double hook: even if you’re not invested in in‑game cosmetics, you might be curious to try the new drink or collect a specific character design. For Xbox, it keeps the brand visible in everyday spaces—grocery stores, convenience shops, vending machines—during its 25th anniversary year.

Diablo IV fan experience takes over The Grove in LA

The promotion also includes a physical event for fans in Los Angeles later this spring. From May 22–25, Xbox and Fanta are transforming the AMC at The Grove into an immersive Diablo IV‑themed experience set in the world of Sanctuary. Once inside, players will find Mephisto standing between them and a locked Fanta Rewards Chest, tying the in‑store QR rewards concept into a live, theatrical setting.

Visitors to the LA event will have chances to win a range of prizes, including a BlizzCon experience in Anaheim, prize bundles with an Xbox Series S console and Xbox Wireless Controllers, a ROG Xbox Ally, and downloadable game codes. It’s essentially a pop‑up Diablo IV activation layered on top of the broader Fanta promotion, giving West Coast fans a physical destination to go alongside the digital challenges.

A cross‑franchise celebration of gaming and flavor

The bigger theme across the collaboration is celebrating the shared passion between Xbox players and these franchises. Whether you’re drifting through Tokyo City in Forza Horizon 6, cleaning out dungeons in Diablo IV, exploring Azeroth in World of Warcraft, dropping into matches in Call of Duty, or suiting up as Master Chief in Halo, there’s a themed can or bottle for you. The marketing question posed to fans—“How far will you go for the delicious taste of Fanta?”—speaks to the idea of chasing both collectibles and rewards.

For Xbox, this is another example of how the brand is using big partnerships to keep its anniversary year visible and interactive, not just through game launches and hardware but through lifestyle and consumer products. For Fanta, it’s a way to tap into some of gaming’s most loyal communities and turn a standard soft drink purchase into a small piece of the Xbox ecosystem. The collection will only be available while supplies last, so if you want that specific armor, mount, town portal, or Fanta‑branded Forza ride, it may be worth grabbing a can, scanning the code, and seeing where the rewards chest takes you.
