XBOX is kicking off another themed weekend of Free Play Days, this time with a full No More Robots takeover that spotlights some of the publisher’s quirkiest and most beloved indie titles. From cozy sims to extreme sports and dark narrative RPGs, there’s a little bit of everything to sample for free over the next few days.
According to the latest XBOX Wire Free Play Days update, XBOX Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, and Essential members can jump into a curated list of No More Robots games from Thursday, June 4 through Sunday, June 7, with discounts available if you decide to keep playing after the weekend. The promotion even includes a bonus: the original Descenders is free to try for all XBOX players on console, no Game Pass membership required. It’s also a celebration of nearly 10 years of No More Robots, marking a big milestone for the indie publisher and its long-running partnership with XBOX.
What is the No More Robots XBOX Free Play Days Takeover?

This special Free Play Days – No More Robots Takeover brings multiple titles from the publisher into the spotlight for one long weekend of unrestricted play for members. Many of these games support XBOX Play Anywhere, making it easy to bounce between XBOX consoles and PC without losing progress. Like other Free Play Days events, any Gamerscore and achievements you earn will carry over if you decide to buy the game at a discount after the event wraps up.
To start playing, you can either install the games directly from their individual store pages on XBOX.com (while signed into your account) or head to the Subscriptions tab on your XBOX console and scroll down to the Free Play Days collection. Once installed, you’re good to go for the entire event window, with no extra unlocks or time limits beyond the weekend itself.

How Free Play Days Works (And Why It Matters)
XBOX Free Play Days is an ongoing program that lets members try full games for a limited time, with progress and achievements carrying over if you purchase them afterward. For this No More Robots takeover, that means you can bounce between wildly different experiences—from building bizarre zoos to bombing down procedurally generated slopes—without spending anything up front.
For No More Robots, this event doubles as a victory lap for nearly a decade of publishing offbeat, personality-filled indie games on XBOX platforms. For players, it’s the perfect excuse to finally try those weird, highly recommended games that have been sitting on your “maybe later” list and pick up a few favorites at a solid discount.
