Microsoft has announced the general availability of two new tools designed to enhance productivity and customer service: Microsoft Copilot for Sales and Service. These tools are part of Microsoft’s commitment to helping organizations transform the way people work using secure, enterprise-grade AI capabilities.

Microsoft Copilot for Sales

Microsoft Copilot for Sales is an AI assistant that helps sellers work more efficiently by bringing sales insights into collaboration and productivity tools. It builds on Copilot for Microsoft 365, enhancing it with connectivity to CRM platforms like Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales and Salesforce Sales Cloud. This integration brings sales-specific insights and recommendations to apps like Outlook, Microsoft Teams, and Word. For instance, Copilot can generate sales meeting preparation briefs in Word and summarize emails, surfacing relevant buying intent and budget, authority, need, and timing (BANT) analysis in Outlook.

Microsoft Copilot for Service

Microsoft Copilot for Service, introduced in December 2023, is the next step in Microsoft’s journey to help organizations realize the benefits of generative AI by extending their existing investments in CRM and contact center solutions. Copilot for Service provides real-time assistance to resolve issues faster, handle cases more efficiently, and automate time-consuming tasks, allowing customer service professionals to focus on delivering high-quality service.

Both Copilot for Service and Sales are now generally available for $50 per user/month, which includes the Copilot for Microsoft 365 license. These tools provide flexibility to integrate with existing contact center and CRM systems, such as Salesforce and ServiceNow, to get more done with less effort.

The introduction of these Copilot tools is a significant step forward in Microsoft’s ongoing efforts to harness AI to streamline business processes, automate repetitive tasks, and unlock creativity. By integrating role-specific Copilot capabilities into Microsoft 365 applications and popular CRM and contact center systems, Microsoft is empowering sales and customer service professionals to work more efficiently and effectively.
