Microsoft is rolling out “Settings support” in the Copilot app on Windows for Insiders, letting Copilot answer settings-related questions and deep-link you straight into the correct Windows Settings page. The Copilot on Windows update starts with app version 1.25095.161 (and higher) via the Microsoft Store and will arrive gradually across all Insider Channels.

What’s new in Copilot on Windows 11

Copilot on Windows 11 adds one‑click links to Settings for InsidersCopilot now recognizes plain‑English requests about system configuration—ask things like “Make my screen easier to read” or “Help me focus by reducing distractions,” and Copilot will provide a direct link to the exact Windows Settings page you need. This reduces the clicks and guesswork typically required to hunt through Settings, making quick adjustments far faster.

How it works

Open Copilot on Windows and phrase your request naturally; when Copilot detects it’s a settings task, it returns a deep link that jumps you into the matching Settings pane with one click. Example prompts provided by Microsoft include “Make my screen easier to read” for accessibility changes and “Help me focus by reducing distractions” for focus and notifications controls.

Rollout details

The Copilot app update is version 1.25095.161 or later, delivered via the Microsoft Store, and is rolling out gradually so not everyone will see it on day one. Microsoft notes it is previewing these improvements with Insiders to ensure a smooth experience ahead of broader availability, and third‑party coverage has confirmed the feature’s scope and intent.

Who can try it

All Windows Insider Channels are included in the rollout, so any Insider device with the updated Copilot app is eligible once the feature flag hits your account. If you don’t see the setting links yet, keep the Copilot app updated and check back as Microsoft completes the staged rollout.

Tips to test

  • Update the Copilot app from the Microsoft Store and confirm the version is 1.25095.161 or newer before testing.

  • Ask Copilot “Make my screen easier to read” and follow the returned deep link to the exact Accessibility settings page.

  • Ask “Help me focus by reducing distractions” to jump into focus/notification settings via Copilot’s link.

  • Share feedback from within the Copilot app: select your profile icon and choose “Give feedback” to report successes or issues.

Why this matters

Direct Settings access turns Copilot into a front door for device configuration, cutting friction for common tasks like accessibility tweaks, focus modes, and display or notification adjustments. It’s a small but meaningful step toward a more assistive Windows experience, and early coverage underscores how it complements broader fall updates to Windows and Copilot experiences.
