XBOX is leaning into the chaos of Emergence Day with a new real-world collaboration that Gears of War fans can actually eat.
Microsoft has teamed up with Prince St. Pizza to launch the limited-edition Emergence Pie, a new pizza inspired by the upcoming release of Gears of War: E-Day. The promotion is now available at participating Prince St. Pizza locations across the United States and Toronto, Canada, and it will run through November 1.
Every purchase of an Emergence Pie—or even a slice—comes with a unique code that unlocks a Gears of War: E-Day pizza emblem for use in the game.
What is the Gears of War: E-Day Emergence Pie?
The limited-time pie is built around spicy, heavy flavors that fit the Gears of War vibe better than a basic branded pepperoni pizza.
According to XBOX, the Emergence Pie includes spicy vodka sauce, fresh mozzarella, ground pepperoni, sausage, and Carbone Fine Food Aglio e Peperoncino Italian Chili Crisp. In other words, it sounds like a spicy meat-heavy pizza designed for players preparing to spend a few hours chainsawing through Locusts.
XBOX and Prince St. Pizza are positioning the collaboration as something made for the overlap between gaming fans and pizza fans, rather than simply putting Gears branding on a regular menu item.
“Gears fans and pizza lovers have been the same crowd for a long time,” Prince St. Pizza CEO Lawrence Longo said. “Working with XBOX gave us a way to build for that overlap instead of putting two names on a box and calling it a day.”
The Emergence Pie will only be available through November 1, so Gears fans who want the food and the in-game emblem will need to visit a participating Prince St. Pizza location before the promotion ends.

The big reason for XBOX players to care about the collaboration is the in-game reward.
Buying an Emergence Pie or a slice gives customers a unique code for a Gears of War: E-Day pizza emblem. XBOX has not provided a detailed preview of the emblem in the announcement, but it appears to be a cosmetic item tied directly to the Prince St. Pizza promotion.
It is worth noting that this is a purchase-based reward, not a Game Pass Perks offer or a free XBOX redemption. You will need to buy the promotional pizza or slice at a participating location to receive a code.
Prince St. Pizza is also selling a separate limited-edition Prototype Lancer pizza cutter modeled after the iconic weapon from Gears of War. The cutter is available through the Prince St. Pizza online store, although XBOX did not say that it includes an additional in-game item.
Gears of War: E-Day launches October 6

Set 14 years before the original Gears of War, E-Day follows Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago during the first day of the Locust Horde’s invasion. The game is designed as an origin story that takes players back to the event that changed Sera forever.
XBOX says the new entry is built from the ground up in Unreal Engine 5 and will support 4K resolution and up to 60 FPS across campaign and multiplayer on compatible hardware and displays.
The game will include a campaign playable solo or in two-player split-screen on console, along with online co-op. Multiplayer will include the new Horde Siege PvE mode and refined 4v4 Versus modes.
Horde Siege is described as a larger-scale version of Gears’ familiar wave-survival formula. Players choose between Assault, Marksman, Medic, and Breacher classes, join a four-player squad, complete shared objectives, fight world bosses, and earn rewards to improve future runs.

Pre-order bonuses are also available
XBOX is offering pre-order bonuses for players who purchase Gears of War: E-Day before October 6 at 7:59 a.m. PT. Eligible pre-orders can include an XBOX gift card along with the Exfil Dom Character Skin and Exfil Weapon Skin Set, though availability varies by retailer and participating stores.
Gears of War: E-Day is priced at $69.99 and can be pre-ordered now through the XBOX Store.
The Prince St. Pizza campaign is an unusual but fitting bit of launch marketing for Gears. Pizza, late-night co-op, Horde mode, and a new Marcus and Dom story are a combination that will probably make sense to longtime XBOX fans.
For anyone near a Prince St. Pizza location, the limited-edition pie is one more way to celebrate Emergence Day before Gears of War: E-Day arrives on October 6.
