Microsoft is rolling out a fresh set of Windows 11 Insider builds to kick off July, bringing a mix of recovery improvements and UI updates that could make troubleshooting and account management much easier for testers.
Microsoft has released a new batch of Windows 11 Insider Preview builds across the Beta and Experimental channels, continuing its push to refine both system recovery and user experience. These updates include builds 26220.8764 (Beta) and 26300.8782 (Experimental), alongside additional 26H1 builds for testers on specific branches.
According to the official Windows Insider Blog post published on July 6, 2026, Microsoft is also streamlining how users access release notes through its updated channel system, making it easier for Insiders to track changes regardless of their current build or migration status.
Windows 11 Insider Builds Add “Cloud Rebuild” Recovery for Easier Recovery
The standout feature in these Windows 11 Insider Builds is a new recovery option called “Cloud Rebuild,” currently available in the Experimental channel. This feature is designed to fully restore a Windows 11 PC even if the system fails to boot.
Instead of relying on local recovery files or external USB media, Cloud Rebuild pulls a clean Windows image and all necessary drivers directly from Windows Update. That means:

No dependency on a potentially corrupted OS install

Refreshed Account Control Experience

There was no new release for the Experimental (Future Platforms) channel this time, but Microsoft says more updates are coming soon.
