The January 2025 Xbox Developer Direct has concluded, bringing several major announcements for Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Game Pass subscribers. The 45-minute showcase featured extended looks at previously announced titles and unveiled exciting new games coming throughout 2025.
Major Xbox Developer Direct 2025 announcements
The biggest surprise came from Team Ninja and PlatinumGames with the reveal of Ninja Gaiden 4, a new mainline entry in the legendary action series. Set in a dystopian Tokyo, players will control new protagonist Yakumo alongside series veteran Ryu Hayabusa in fast-paced combat featuring parkour mechanics and innovative combat combinations. The game is scheduled for Fall 2025 release, and to celebrate the announcement, a remastered version of Ninja Gaiden 2 Black built in Unreal Engine 5 is available now on Game Pass.

Xbox Game Pass integration
Every title showcased during the event will be available on Xbox Game Pass at launch. Additionally, all games support Xbox Play Anywhere, allowing players to access their games on both Xbox consoles and Windows PC with shared progress and achievements.
