Xbox has unveiled a flashy new hardware drop for racing fans: a Limited Edition Forza Horizon 6 Xbox Wireless Controller and Xbox Wireless Headset designed to match the Horizon Festival’s move to Japan. These accessories lean hard into vibrant colors, Japanese touge-inspired styling, and custom audio touches to immerse players deeper into the next Horizon adventure.
The collection was introduced in a new Xbox Wire post highlighting how this hardware is meant to complement the game’s high-speed action and festival vibe. The bright cyan and lime colorways are meant to celebrate iconic cars, hit music, and the festival atmosphere that defines the Forza Horizon series.
Forza Horizon 6 Limited Edition Controller

The Xbox Wireless Controller – Limited Edition Forza Horizon 6 is one of the most visually striking controllers Xbox has put out so far. It features a transparent cyan blue top shell that fades into a metallic gradient, accented by volt green, hot pink, and silver details to echo neon-soaked street racing aesthetics. A silver metallic D‑pad and two‑tone rubberized diamond grips not only add style, but also offer more comfortable control during long racing sessions.
Its core design concept is inspired by Japan’s touge roads — narrow, winding mountain routes considered the spiritual home of drifting. From a top-down perspective, the patterns on the controller pay homage to these routes, channeling the feel of late-night runs through the mountains. On the practical side, the controller supports up to 40 hours of battery life and includes a 3.5 mm jack so players can plug in their favorite wired headset and jump straight into the Horizon Festival without needing extra adapters.
Forza Horizon 6 Limited Edition Headset

The Xbox Wireless Headset – Limited Edition Forza Horizon 6 carries forward the same bold color story and festival energy. It uses transparent cyan with volt green and hot pink accents, visually tying it to the controller while standing out as a collectible piece on its own. Small details, like a hot pink logo inspired by pit crew branding and racetrack-style graphics inside the ear cups, reinforce the motorsport theme for Forza superfans.
This special edition headset also features custom sound effects for common actions like powering on and off, pairing, and muting or unmuting the mic. These cues mix the sound of a Japanese V8 engine with the Forza Horizon 6 user interface, aiming to make every session feel like sliding into the driver’s seat of a tuned street car. Combined with spatial audio technologies such as Windows Sonic, Dolby Atmos, and DTS Headphone:X, the headset is built to deliver immersive audio whether you’re racing through city streets or exploring the open world.
Audio Features and Connectivity
Beyond style, the headset is tuned for flexibility across different platforms. It supports Xbox Wireless for direct connection to Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, and also works via Bluetooth with Windows 11 PCs, handheld devices, and mobile platforms. Bluetooth LE Audio is supported, enabling rich stereo sound even during party chat, with wideband stereo voice so teammates come through clearly while engine roars and soundtrack hits still shine.
The focus on low-latency, high-quality audio means players can rely on the headset whether they’re racing in competitive events, exploring solo, or hanging out in online convoys. Microsoft notes that more details on supported devices, new features, and an upcoming free update for the Xbox Wireless Headset are available through their official support and update channels, helping buyers understand exactly how it fits into their setup.
Battery Life and Platform Support
Both the controller and headset are designed to travel wherever the Horizon Festival goes. Each accessory supports Xbox Wireless and Bluetooth, allowing connections across Xbox consoles, PC, and supported mobile or cloud devices without extra dongles or base stations. This makes it easy to move from the living room to a gaming laptop or handheld without swapping hardware.
In terms of longevity, the controller offers up to 40 hours of battery life, while the headset delivers up to 20 hours on its rechargeable battery. That balance is aimed at keeping racers in the game longer, whether they’re grinding seasonal events or tearing through long road trips across the Japanese map in Forza Horizon 6.
Pricing, Preorders, and 8BitDo Charging Dock
The Xbox Wireless Controller – Forza Horizon 6 Limited Edition is priced at 89.99 USD MSRP, and the Xbox Wireless Headset – Forza Horizon 6 Limited Edition comes in at 134.99 USD MSRP. Both are available to preorder now via Xbox.com, the Microsoft Store, and participating retailers, giving fans a chance to secure them ahead of Forza Horizon 6’s launch window.

To complete the setup, Xbox has also partnered with 8BitDo on the 8BitDo Charging Dock for Xbox Wireless Controllers – Forza Horizon 6 Limited Edition. Styled to match the controller design, this dock is compatible with Xbox Series X|S controllers and includes a 1100mAh rechargeable battery pack plus a matching battery door. It uses magnetic alignment for easy drop-in placement, can fully charge a controller in around three hours, and includes built-in protection against overcharging and overheating. Officially licensed by Xbox, it’s positioned as the ideal companion accessory for players who want a fully themed Forza Horizon 6 setup on their desk or entertainment center.
