Xbox is kicking off another exciting Free Play Days event (see last week), giving Game Pass members a chance to try three very different games at no extra cost this weekend. From high-intensity warfare to relaxing fishing and adrenaline-fueled drifting, there’s something here for nearly every type of player.
According to an official Xbox Wire post, Battlefield 6, Bassmaster Fishing, and JDM: Japanese Drift Master are available to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, and Essential members from Thursday, May 14 through Sunday, May 17. As always, players can download and jump in immediately while the event is live.
Xbox Free Play Days Brings Battlefield 6, Bassmaster Fishing, and JDM Drift Action

Battlefield 6 is easily the headline title this weekend, offering players a taste of large-scale warfare with its signature mix of infantry combat, vehicles, and destructible environments. The game also includes new seasonal content, including one of its biggest maps yet, making this free weekend a great opportunity to see how the latest entry evolves the franchise.

For something more laid-back, Bassmaster Fishing lets players hit the water and compete in realistic fishing scenarios across iconic U.S. locations. It’s a slower-paced experience, but one that offers depth for players who enjoy mastering technique and strategy.

Meanwhile, JDM: Japanese Drift Master delivers a completely different vibe, focusing on Japan’s street racing culture. Players can explore an open world inspired by real-world locations, mastering drift mechanics across winding mountain roads and urban highways in a story-driven experience.

Getting started is simple. Players can find the titles on Xbox.com or directly through the Xbox Store on console by navigating to the Free Play Days collection. Once installed, the games are fully playable during the event window with an active Game Pass membership.
If you end up enjoying any of the games, Xbox is also offering limited-time discounts during the promotion. Purchasing a title lets you keep your progress, including achievements and Gamerscore, so you can continue right where you left off after the weekend ends.
This latest Free Play Days lineup is a strong mix of blockbuster action, simulation, and niche racing, making it one of the more diverse offerings in recent months. With the event only running through May 17, Game Pass subscribers will want to jump in quickly to make the most of the limited-time access.
