According to a new XBOX Wire blog post from Senior Community Lead Megan Spurr, the September wave kicks off with Shelldiver available today and rolls through mid-month with heavy hitters like RuneScape: Dragonwilds and Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. It’s a great time to be a subscriber, especially if you’ve been holding out for a big co-op or roguelike fix. Set on RuneScape’s forgotten continent of Ashenfall, Dragonwilds is a co-op survival-crafting adventure where dragons have woken up and things have gotten dangerous. You’ll gather, build, and skill your way toward a confrontation with the Dragon Queen. Given RuneScape’s massive existing fanbase, this could bring a fresh wave of players into the Game Pass ecosystem, similar to what we saw when Spyro Reignited Trilogy joined Game Pass and introduced a nostalgic library to a whole new audience.
Game Updates and In-Game Benefits
TCG Card Shop Simulator officially exits Game Preview and launches its full 1.0 release on September 15, letting players build Tetramon decks and run their own card shop.
EA Sports NHL 27 gets an EA Play 10-hour early access trial on console starting September 4, featuring an all-new Connected Franchise mode. Progress carries over if you buy the full game.
Aniimo subscribers can grab an exclusive monthly reward pack starting September 16, including an Aniipod Ultra, Growth Flowers, and Glimmer, once the creature-catching RPG lands on Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, and Essential tiers.
