If your gaming setup could use a little more warmth heading into fall, XBOX just dropped exactly what you didn’t know you needed. The new Designed for XBOX Cozy Collection leans hard into a soft, woodland aesthetic, and honestly, it’s one of the more charming accessory drops we’ve seen from XBOX in a while.
According to a new XBOX Wire post from Anna Vo, Director of XBOX Brand Marketing, the collection is built around “side quests, little adventures, and everything in between,” pulling together 8BitDo, SteelSeries, and KontrolFreek gear into one cohesive, cozy-core lineup. It’s a similar partner-collaboration playbook to what we covered when XBOX celebrated its 25th anniversary with translucent green accessories from Razer, 8BitDo, Backbone, PowerA, and GameSir, just with a much softer color palette this time around.
What’s in the Designed for XBOX Cozy Collection

This mechanical keyboard packs an independent control panel, RGB backlighting, programmable super buttons, and Kailh tactile switches. It’s available now at 8bitdo.com.
8BitDo Retro R8 Mouse — Forest Wonder
Matched to the keyboard’s design language, the Retro R8 mouse comes with a charging dock and four programmable side buttons for precise, tailored control. Also available now at 8bitdo.com.
8BitDo Ultimate 3 Controller — Mossy Lagoon
Drawing from water, moss, and tiny woodland friends, this controller features an improved grip, a wireless charging dock, and adjustable joystick tension. It supports 2.4G wireless and wired connections for XBOX and PC, plus Bluetooth for mobile. Grab it at 8bitdo.com.
SteelSeries Arctis Gamebuds — Matcha and Yuzu
These earbuds bring Active Noise Cancellation, Quick-Switch 2.4GHz wireless and Bluetooth 5.3, over 200 audio presets via the Arctis Companion App, and immersive 360° Spatial Audio. Expect 40 hours of total battery life (10 hours per charge), IP55 water and dust resistance, and a Qi wireless-charging case. Available now at SteelSeries.com.
KontrolFreek No-Slip Thumb Grips — XBOX Cozy Edition
A calming matcha-and-yuzu color combo meets KontrolFreek’s proprietary GripTek material, keeping your thumbs locked in whether you’re farming, questing, or building a digital utopia. Ergonomic design included for long sessions. Available now at kontrolfreek.com.
Why This Drop Stands Out
XBOX has been on a real accessory tear lately, and this collection feels like a deliberate pivot away from the more aggressive, high-contrast designs we’ve seen recently, like the Gears of War: E-Day Limited Edition Wireless Controller. Instead, the Cozy Collection is aimed at the cottagecore and cozy-gaming crowd, matching the rise of farming sims, life sims, and low-stakes adventure games that have exploded in popularity. It’s a smart bit of brand marketing, and it shows XBOX is paying attention to more than just the hardcore shooter crowd.
