XBOX Celebrates An Amazing 25 Years With New XBOX Gear Store, Free Profile Content, Game Pass Collections, and FanFest Tour

XBOX is kicking off another wave of celebrations ahead of its 25th anniversary on November 15, 2026. The company has announced new community-created console designs, a free anniversary profile badge, curated XBOX Game Pass collections, additional FanFest tour dates, and the launch of a new official merchandise destination called XBOX Gear.

The anniversary campaign looks back across every XBOX generation, from the original XBOX through XBOX Series X|S, while giving fans several ways to personalize their accounts and take part in events around the world.

Free XBOX Profile Content

XBOX is partnering with community creators Klobrille and Ben Kenobi on a set of anniversary-themed gamerpics, console backgrounds, and a dynamic theme. The designs are available now and can be used on XBOX consoles and through the XBOX app on PC.

On console, players can find the new gamerpic and theme options by opening Settings > Profile > Customize profile. To apply the dynamic background, go to Settings > General > Personalization > My background > Dynamic background.

PC players can change their gamerpic from the XBOX app by opening their profile and selecting the pencil icon, while themes are available from View Profile > Customize profile.

XBOX is also giving players a free XBOX 25th Anniversary profile badge. Anyone who signs in to an XBOX account on console, PC, or the XBOX mobile app can claim it, and it will remain available through the end of 2026.

Microsoft has also opened XBOX Gear, a new official online destination for XBOX-branded apparel and merchandise. The store is now live at gear.xbox.com and launches with three collections: Gloss, Est.01, and Blood Gulch.

The initial lineup ranges from classic XBOX-inspired pieces to more design-focused apparel, with Microsoft promising additional product drops in the future. Blood Gulch is a nod to the iconic Halo multiplayer map and should be especially appealing to longtime Halo fans.
