XBOX has opened pre-orders for its new XBOX 25th Anniversary Collection, led by the individually numbered XBOX Series X25 Limited Edition console. The premium bundle costs $899.99 USD, launches on November 13, 2026, and includes a full digital copy of Halo: Campaign Evolved.
The limited-edition console is part of XBOX’s wider 25th anniversary celebration, bringing back the translucent OG Green look associated with the original XBOX while adding special details that honor the games, hardware, and community that shaped the brand.
XBOX Series X25 Limited Edition Details
The XBOX Series X25 Limited Edition uses a translucent OG Green design inspired by the original XBOX console. Microsoft says the hardware includes hidden visual details and references to the players, games, and milestones that defined XBOX over the past 25 years.
Every XBOX Series X25 console is also individually numbered and includes a unique engraving. That makes it more than a standard special-edition color variant—it is a limited collector’s console intended to commemorate the XBOX anniversary.
Microsoft has not detailed a change to the core XBOX Series X hardware specification. Instead, the focus is on the anniversary styling, individual numbering, and included game.
Halo: Campaign Evolved Is Included
Each XBOX Series X25 Limited Edition console comes with a full-game digital download for Halo: Campaign Evolved. Microsoft describes the game as a faithful but modernized remake of the original Halo campaign, which was one of the most important games in the launch era of the first XBOX.
Including Halo: Campaign Evolved makes sense for a 25th anniversary console. The original Halo: Combat Evolved helped establish XBOX as a serious console platform in 2001, and the remake brings that foundational campaign back for a new generation of players.

How to Pre-Order the XBOX Series X25
Microsoft began by inviting a select group of dedicated XBOX fans to pre-order the XBOX 25th Anniversary Collection via email. Starting Thursday, August 27 at 7 a.m. PDT, players in select markets can try to place an order through the official XBOX website or participating retailers.
Pre-orders are limited to one XBOX 25th Anniversary Collection per customer, and Microsoft is making it clear that inventory is limited. If you are interested in the console, it is worth checking participating retailers as close to the start time as possible.
XBOX X25 Controller Sold Separately
Players who want the anniversary design without purchasing the $899.99 console bundle can pre-order the XBOX X25 Special Edition Wireless Controller separately in select markets.
The controller launches October 20, 2026, ahead of the full console collection. Like the Series X25 console, it uses the translucent OG Green colorway and commemorative details inspired by XBOX history.
The separate controller should be the more accessible option for fans who already own an XBOX Series X|S, XBOX One console, or a compatible Windows PC.
A Collector’s Console for XBOX’s 25th Anniversary
The XBOX Series X25 is clearly aimed at collectors and longtime fans.
